Garage Project have never been ones to play it safe.
When they saw an opportunity to showcase their Tiny Hazy IPA in Christchurch, they jumped on it, bringing creativity, strategy, and a deep understanding of how to use the street poster medium to their advantage.
With a growing audience in Christchurch, Garage Project saw our every growing network in the Garden City as the perfect way to make a statement. Their approach was smart: they used proximity mapping to ensure their campaign reached the right people in the right locations and crafted creative that worked seamlessly across multiple formats.
Next level execution.
Using our large-scale Manchester Street site which incorporates street posters and a large format billboard, they turned the space into an immersive visual experience. A landscape billboard up top featured a thirsty dude pouring a cold one, while the lower frames carried bold, on-brand typography and thirst-inducing imagery.
The finishing touch? A recyclable pop-out element that brought the beer pour to life, adding depth and the stop and stare factor.
But this wasn’t just about great creative. It delivered real, measurable results.
The goal was clear: Garage Project wanted to build momentum for their Tiny Hazy IPA ahead of the GABS Hottest 100 Kiwi Craft Beer competition. By strategically placing their campaign in high-traffic areas and aligning it with their wider marketing efforts, they generated significant brand awareness leading into the voting period.
The impact?
Increased Visibility – The campaign ensured that Tiny Hazy IPA was top-of-mind for Christchurch craft beer drinkers at a crucial time.
Record-Breaking Recognition – The beer secured 3rd place in the GABS Hottest 100, making it the first-ever 0% beer to podium in the competition.
A Milestone Moment for Garage Project – The result reinforced the demand for their 0% range, proving that bold, creative marketing can drive both brand affinity and real consumer action.
“We believe that the awareness built from the Phantom Takeover played a pivotal part in the success of this campaign,” says the Garage Project team.
