When Jason Momoa visited the Supergirl mural on Rose Road, Ponsonby this week and signed the wall, it wasn't by accident. Matt Griffin spent seven days painting it by hand for Universal Pictures, produced by the Phantom Custom Shop, the same team behind some of New Zealand's most talked-about large-format installations and experiential campaigns.
The mural went up as part of our Auckland street poster and advertising network, which covers high-foot-traffic sites across the city. Rose Road is one of them, and if this week proved anything, it's that the right wall in the right place does things that no digital placement can replicate.
